Because the file was never the product. The product is judgment: knowing which material survives a cockpit summer, which wall thickness takes a winch load, which tolerance actually fits your twenty-year-old hardware. A downloaded file without that judgment is a coin flip.
Open files build the thing we actually run on, which is trust. You can inspect our work before you spend a dollar. The same philosophy runs through our software: you own what we build you, code and keys included.
