Christopher Stanmore-Major: The Captain Behind It All

Who CSM is, the sailing partnership, and why he's the reason 3D3D ever touched a boat.

Chris Stanmore-Major, CSM, is one of the most experienced offshore sailors alive: two circumnavigations, including a solo round-the-world race, and a career of professional deliveries and racing. He's also the reason our founder ever set foot on a boat.

That first delivery together, Lunenburg to Antigua through a bomb cyclone, started a working partnership that has spanned a decade: deliveries, the centenary Rolex Fastnet aboard Osprey, and logistics jobs on two continents, including a five-day storage-and-transport sprint across the Channel.

You can find his own work at csmthemariner.com. Two of the six stories on our proof page feature him, because the partnership is part of what built this company.
